About the Summit

The BVCA Summit is the association's flagship conference, which provides the private equity and venture capital industry with an important platform to discuss the most pertinent issues of the day.

The UK is the European - if not global - hub for the private equity and venture capital industry, enabling the BVCA to attract senior general partners from the leading private equity & venture capital houses to the BVCA Summit. Last year's Summit was an outstanding success. Quality speakers

The BVCA attracts high-level speakers you will not find at any other private equity and venture capital conference. In 2011, we hosted 72 speakers which included Stefano Pessina, Executive Chairman, Alliance Boots and Brent Hoberman, founder of lastminute.com and of Mydeco.  The panel of speakers for 2012, including Al Gore as keynote speaker is being finalised but will be of a similar exceptional calibre. The Summit agenda is prepared and reviewed by the BVCA's committees and boards, each of which are comprised of individuals renowned for their industry expertise, ensuring the content and agenda is of the most pertinent and topical nature allowing delegates to access the most cutting edge view of best practice, and to stay abreast of the most pressing industry issues. Focus on the portfolio

Uniquely, as part of the BVCA's continuing efforts to enhance communication between portfolio company management teams and fund managers, CEOs amd their management teams are encourged to attend, free of charge. Dedicated afternoon sessions will be run for portfolio company managers to share best practice.
